How to Make Own Writing More Emphatic

I believe that i can make my writing more emphatic? How so?  One way would be to pick a topic that you know you can elaborate on i depth and give as much feedback about whatever the topic may be. Also , you can plan out what you will write about and see different aspects of it. So you express the topic at hand more clearly. Basically finding way to keep myself from rambling on and on about something without a purpose and not making my writing clear and to the point for someone else to read.

Role of Guns in America

In today's society i would say that guns have began to play a big role in peoples' everyday  life. Using them in the wrong ways or the right way. I mean who's to say when you'll see someone pull out a gun for no particular reason at all? In the world today people use guns as some form of "protection" because of all the crimes that have been going on , on a day to day basis. So guns definitely play a BIG role. Sometimes you can say that police use guns in the wrong way but they are protected by the badge that they wear. So to them it's the right way. It's kinda crazy , right?

Conflict With Someone In Your Family

My brother and I always got into it over the littlest things. EVERYDAY ! He was the aggravating type of brother and the one that always wanted his way. We got into it when i wouldn't take him places when he asked. We got into it when he would take my things that obviously didn't belong to him, We got into it when he would mess with me when i didnt wanna be bothered. It was always the simplest things. But i mean who can say they never got into it with a sibling of theirs.

Post About Others Post

Many of my fellow colleagues see things from different point of view which is interesting. I say this is interesting because you get a chance to see how differently people view things or maybe how different others life are. In one of my feeling colleagues post she stated ,"Manning said that, "Our communication was physical." That is sort of like how my mom and I are. I mean, laughing is a verb right? and it could be physical, I think it is. We never talk like those mother/ daughter talks that most people have." I can totally agree with her about the communication between my mother and I being "physical". Also the part about never having those mother/daughter talks. Also another fellow colleague talked about her Wikipedia topic which is on Pediatrics. She stated , "Pediatrics is known as a new modern medicine in the society today". It's interesting to know how many people you find just from one class that are interested in being apart of the medical field some type of way.

Changing Relationships

Being the middle child isn't too bad i guess. With my big brother it was always as if "Ours had always been a physical relationship,i suppose.." We were constantly at each others neck about something. "My feelings changed though," It was like i started not to care about when the next fight would take place or fighting in general. I Think he started to take notice as well. Eventually our relationship as brother and sister stopped being a physical one. We finally can now talk things out and HUG.

Best Information Learned About Wikipedia Topic

In my readings that i have done about my Wikipedia topic I've been able to learn different things and gain better knowledge of the topic i decided to work with. "Assisted Living" that is. In particular in my readings it was said that, "About 70% of Assisted living places employ an RN or LPN but the increasing number of frail older adults moving to assisted living suggests there will be a need for additional nursing care." This is simply because over the years the rate of people in these assisted living facilities has increased. More elder people are put in or need to go to places of this sort. Also something else that i discovered in my readings was , "Annually, 11% of residents are transferred to a hospital, 26% die in the facility, and 24% to 40% are discharged to a long-term care facility." I guess it can be said that it is a good thing that most elderly people do not actually die in these assisted living facilities.

1 post about 2 post from my colleagues using quotes.

Reading posts from my colleagues i decided to use the topic that was about stereotype between men and women. I found this example interesting , "women are supposed to clean and do housework." Why can't men see themselves doing house work at times? That is not just a womans job. Another quote from one of my fellow colleagues would be ,"Women stereotypes are worse than those of a man because women are usually "supposed" to be under a man. In other words, "This is a man's world". Regardless of anything, people should not label anyone a stereotype, however, it is apart of life and there isn't any escaping. I don't like how people stereotype women, especially women of today. I know that some women can be "messed up", but that isn't all of us. When people see ONE person or a small group of people or even the women on hip-hop videos, people automatically become fortune tellers and can tell your whole life style to you. That is not true. " This really caught my attention simply because in this day in time people base a womans actions off of seeing one person doing something. So the automatically assume that all women are that way. & whoever truly said that a woman is supposed to be under a man? She can be just as good alone without a mans control. So why is it said that this is a "mans world"? Trying to say that women are just living in it? We should see things as we share this world equally and no woman or man is better than one another.

Learned About My Wikipedia Topic

I've learned a good bit about my wikipedia topic. I chose assisted living because one day i'll hope to have a chance to work in one for a period of time. I've learned that thousands and thousands of people have been put in these assisted living home places for different reasons. Also the age ranges of those who are in nursing homes. I believe you find more women in nursing homes then men from the readings i have done. I hope to get further knowledge of my topic as this project continues.

Effective WIkipedia Introduction

An effective introduction will be solid , simply because you have an understand of what you want to talk about or simply what is being talked about. You want the introduction to stand out and make people want to read more than just the introduction because they feel the article may be good. ONLY if you have a clear introduction that catches the readers attention. Make sure you state your points that you will individually talk about in the article.

Finding yourself in a room full of people you don't know. Feeling a bit out of place as if you don't belong. Yet, you still find it funny how everyone just sits there and look at look you as if you're some foreign object. In which they have never seen before. Not the first "Hey" was every said in the room full of all of those people. It's funny how things work.

Stereotype : Men & Women

Where is stereotyping? It's when you have this fixed image or idea of a particular type of person or thing. I guess it can be said that men and women stereotype each other all the time,An example would be men assuming that women are too weak to take on "manly" jobs. Simply because the man may view women as being weaker than them. The last example would be , women saying men are suppose to do the dirty work. Since they are "men" women may believe that they are the ones taking the task of that "dirty work" When truly everyone has the ability to do anything they want. There should be such thing as that's a mans job or that's a woman's job.

Value of MLA Style

Beginning in high school my teacher's stressed the issue of using MLA format when writing a paper. In hopes that it will be a great asset for me in college. MLA format is important simply because of citations. Giving credit back to those sources that were used to help you get the information that you needed for your research paper or whatever paper you were writing. You never want to take credit for something that is not yours. So imply just do the right thing and follow then MLA format to avoid any problemsn that come along with plagiarism.

Neat People Vs. Sloppy People

In the brief story that we read , it talked about neat people and sloppy people. Are you neat or are you sloppy? Is there anything wrong with being sloppy in the case of what the story said? No , not at all. It's kind of amazing how a sloppy person knows exactly where things are even when there is a big mess. Yes, neat people are organized and know where things are without a mess. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being sloppy. So again , are you a sloppy person or neat person?

Readings in Wikipedia article

Readings in my wikipedia article goes into depth of what nursing homes are classified as , who nursing homes are for and what the staff consists of at nursing homes.Like the levels of nurses that are on duty. My readings also go into detail about the conditions of nursing homes. The good and bad things of nursing homes are also talked about. The readings talk about the job itself and ways to obtain the position wanted.
